Application to carry out Tree Surgery Works to No. 1 Tree as shown within the South Somerset District Council (YEW 1)...
Good news for our green spaces in Yeovil! An application has been submitted for tree surgery works on an oak tree under a Tree Preservation Order on Combe Street Lane. The plan aims to keep the tree ecologically important while ensuring safety for the neighbourhood.
Application to carry out Tree Surgery Works to No. 1 Tree as shown within the South Somerset District Council (YEW 1) 1992 Tree Preservation Order. T1 - Oak Quercus sp. 14mWorks to be carried out Oak (T1). Our preferred option is to monolith the tree by removing all primary branches and retain the trunk at approx. 10m FGL. This will eliminate the chance of major branch failure and will retain the tree so it will still have ecological importance as a ?veteranised? tree.
